Wishlist Wednesday & Paris

In case you haven't noticed, there is a new look here at lovely little besos. I finally decided it was time to make a banner and have all the colors for links match up. I guess I've been so busy that I've never really gotten around to it. I'm happy I finally did, and I'm pleased with the way things look. I will do more tweaking here and there for the remainder of the week.

Yesterday afternoon I went hiking with my friend Sarah. We hadn't seen each other since early March so it was our time to catch up and exchange stories from our spring break. The thing I love about Sarah is how adventurous she is! She is always on the go, taking road trips, traveling, and experiencing the world piece by piece. On a whim I said we should move to Paris together, and what do you know? She loved the idea! Of course it wouldn't be forever and of course nothing soon. But maybe we will do it for  3 months after we both graduate. I'm super excited and I couldn't imagine going with another friend. If we plan it out now I'm sure we can do it. I'm either going to have to save now or get a job when were out there. Man I'm so excited!

There are so many cute things I have been lusting for lately. I realized there is no point in getting a job now due to the fact that I have finals soon and then after that I have a summer job lined up. So pretty soon I will be able obtain some of these pretty items I've had my eyes on. Below are items on my wishlist:

1. This white blazer is to die for! Next blazer purchase on my list.

2. I think flowers in a Can is a super cute idea. I could use these in my room!

3. These hello kitty iphone cases are to die for. I just lost my iphone cover on vacation so I'm hoping to replace it with these super cute covers!

4. I was just watching the sex and the city movie 2 today, and carrie bradshaw rocks the cutest turban upon her arrival or abu dhabi. I don't know if I could pull it off, but I am in love with turbans now.

wishlist wednesday--etsy edition

I am finally all done with my midterms and it feels amazing. I seriously came home yesterday and stuffed my face and then just crashed for a few hours. Since I  finally had sleep and energy I was able to go running. I am sad to say that I am no longer participating in the mud run this weekend. It just happens to fall at a bad time since spring break is the following week and I need to be saving up all my extra cash for that. The thing is, there are plenty of other 5ks, 10ks, and half marathons that I can participate in. I am so proud for pushing myself hard for two weeks so that I could get in shape. One of my goals was to work out 2x a week, and I've been working out more than that. At the beginning I could barely run 1.25 miles without dying, whereas today I ran over 2.5 miles! Its feels good, and I plan on training for some other races in the near future.

I can't believe its only Wednesday, but I'm happy the remainder of my week is going to be pretty laid back and fun-filled. I decided to make my wishlist wednesday composed of things that I've been lusting after on etsy. I am all for etsy and especially handmade and crafted things by unique people, and I could search hours and hours and come across all sorts of cool stuff. I especially love the fact that people are selling items right now to help with relief for the earthquakes/tsunamis in Japan. I think its important that we help the people of Japan after so much destruction has been done. Here are some things I am wishing for from etsy

1. Long Feather Earring

I think I would wear them in only one ear like Dev does in here Bass Down Low Video. I'd also probably wear them against a basic skin-tight dress, and let the accessory define my outfit.

2. Flora Headband

I absolutely love the headbands and accessories over at Sunshine and Carousels. The pastels and florals make me so excited for spring!

3. Tattoo Sock

How cool are these? They are basically transparent tights with designs on them that look like tattoos. Yes, I'm a wuss and will hopefully have my first tattoo by the end of 2011, but these will be a great investment until then.

4. Leica Case for Iphones

Haha, wouldn't it be cool to have people think that your using a real camera, when its really your iphone? 

5. Ruffle Clutch

I loooove ruffles. I think this clutch is perfect for spring and summer. I would use it when wearing a floral or all white dress. I could totally get my "hamptons-socialite" on with this clutch.

Wishlist Wenesday

Is it really Wednesday? My hump day is basically over. Now I just need to squeeze in a run and a workout. Then I'm headed to the library all night to work on a paper. Boooo :( I had a really productive day so far. This morning I woke up early and participated in a vision screening for homeless children. It felt great being able to help and all the Optometrists were so nice and personable. I need to dash, but I leave you guys with somethings im wishing for this wednesday:

1. This super cute girly bathing suit.

I am completely exhausted right now. Although I got the two hardest things out of my way, there is still so much to be done. I have a paper and a presentation due tomorrow, Friday and Saturday I will be attending a conference, and Sunday I have to work. I basically don't think I will be going out this weekend, which is completely fine. Not only am I kind of getting over my whole being 21 partying phase, but I'm sure I'll be exhausted and I need to worry about doing homework. This week is truly too much!

Today has been a laid back, I just want to cuddle type of day. Its been pouring, and all I want to do is lay in my warm bed and just sleep and cuddle. Except since I lack a boyfriend, the cuddling thing is kind of impossible. Hah. But this is perfect library weather. I really hate when its a beautiful, warm, sunny day outside and you really feel like your missing out being stuck inside studying. So tonight will be perfect library time!

And so I leave you all with somethings i'm wishing for on this wednesday:

 1. This wig by mintymix is absolutely beautiful. I don't know if I could ever pull it off, but I think its freakin' amazing and the perfect color combo.

2. A cherry blossom tattoo. I've been thinking of getting a tattoo for a while now, but being indecisive (and broke) makes it kind of hard to get one. But I'm starting to think a cherry blossom tattoo is the way to go for everything it symbolizes and my japanese heritage.

3. These shoes. Gladiator+studs+skulls=love. I actually have a black pair of gladiator sandals very similar to these and I refuse to throw them away because I'm so in love with them. If anyone knows where I could get these that would be amazing.

4. Sushi!!! This platter looks absolutely mouth-watering. In case you didn't know I love love sushi! Being a broke college student means that I don't get to eat it as often as I please. But pretty soon I'm going to have to do a sushi buffet, preferably sooner then later.

Wishlist Wenesday

So I believe I am actually starting to get a little better. I just hate being in class and a complete mess, its not cute. But hey I can actually breathe through my nostrils today, so progress is being made. I just hope I am all good to go by this weekend. Not that I have a lot to look forward to, but I do need to start running again and I do have lots of studying in store. Next week is going to be my "hell week". I leave you guys with somethings I am wishing for right now.

1. Maggie Sottero Venecia Dress. This dress perfectly sums up my style. Simple, edgy, but classy. I don't plan on getting married anytime soon, but I want this dress!

2. Fuji instax 210. I really want one of these babies so I can start capturing moments before all my friends graduate and move.

3. Sam Edelmen Zoe Boot. I've been eyeing these for a while, and I would love to own a pair but I just don't think that will ever happen. Thats why this is wishlist wednesday right?

4. Waterfall Duvet Cover. I want this is my next bedroom. I would re-decorate mine but I haven't even been living here for a year yet. I don't have enough money for it now. But I kind of just want to buy it this summer and save it for when I move for school in another year.

Wednesday Hump Day

I woke up this morning expecting this day to come crashing and burning down on me. Why you might ask? Well it started off with me not getting anything done yesterday. So i came into today thinking "Oh man do I have so much to do today." Also towards the end of last night I started feeling like I was coming down with something. I did wake up this morning feeling pretty crappy. And I knew I had a long day ahead with a really challenging biochem lab. So I did everything I could to prep myself and feel better. I took zicam, drank tea, drank other liquids, ate a big lunch. Thank god my first class isn't till 12:00 so I had time to do all this. Anyways, I ended up feeling a lot better (but still not 100%) and our lab material got cut down.  So basically my day turned out a lot better than I anticipated. And I'm heading to the library in an hour or so to get my homework taken care of! See, it all works out in the end :)

So today I tried to get a lot done and although some things are in progress its a bummer that I feel like I didn't really get anything completed. No check marks on my list! But its okay I'm going to wake up tomorrow and try to get at least some those things officially completed before I leave. On the bright side I am happy with my amazing discovery. Tonight me and my roommate tried out exercisetv on demand, and I loved it! Lately, the weather has been controlling my exercise schedule and me not being a member of a gym has made it hard to stay in shape. But now I can exercise in the comforts of my own home. There is even a quick 10 min cardio workout for the days where I feel like I don't have enough time to exercise. There was also 50 different workouts to choose from so I know I will never get tired of doing the same thing. I'm very happy with this discovery :)

I stopped by forever 21 for a bit today & was a very good girl. I just picked up 2 rings and a set of super cute socks.  I also went by target and got travel sized stuff for my trip. I'm basically all packed up and ready to go. I talked to my brother on the phone today and there sounds like there are tons of fun things in store this  week. I will be honest and say that I might not update until next week (I'll be major roadtripping and having fun) but there will be lots of pictures and updates once I get back.  Here are some things I am lusting for this wednesday:

4. A DVD player--so i can get comfortable in bed and watch a movie before I fall asleep

Lastly, there is a fun giveaway over at little chief honeybee for a mini diana camera. Its definitely another item on my wishlist. How cool would it be to start off 2011 with one of those babies?
      

Wishlist Wednesday--christmas list

 Today has been so unproductive and no bueno. It started off with me not feeling well and deciding to come home instead of staying at school to study. I missed one class as I thought I should sleep and get rest so that I could get work done the rest of the day. When I woke up I decided I would go out to get food so that I could be happy and full of energy to get a lot of work done. But then out of all things, my car doesn't start up! It turns out I needed to get a new battery for my car. The good thing was that it was pretty inexpensive ($125) and took only 20 minutes to install. I'm finally home, and I'm going to jump in the shower before I start my long long night of typing up study guides and studying for practicals. I hate finals! This will all be over soon enough....

I thought it would be ideal to put up my christmas wishlist for this weeks 'wishlist wednesday'. For once, I don't have a lot to ask for. Usually, I'm not afraid to ask for one expensive item whether that be a new camera, cell phone, or ipod. But I realized, I have everything I could possibly want and need. And I fell like the extra's I should be able to get myself. Plus, this has been a very tough year my family financially. I do not want to burden them anymore, and i'm grateful for what I do have. But as usual, my mom did ask for my wishlist. So this is the list of things I gave her.

1. hair done w/ extensions

I hate my hair right now. I had to get it cut because it was extremely damaged. To top it off my hair is extremely short and layered, which makes it hard to wear it down. I always have to keep it pinned up in some way so that it doesn't look funny. I don't even want super long hair, I just want my hair all one length and styled really nice. So I would love if my parents paid for me to get my hair done. Right now these are the cuts I'm looking at. I also want to put a little color in it.

2. new iphone case

honestly anything cute will do, but i especially like this hk one

3. a new peacoat

4. jeans 

(i asked for 2 pairs since i've kind of been wearing the same 4 pairs over & over)

5. giftcards. I named places like starbucks (i drink a lot of coffee since i'm a student), target (since i love everything at target), and sephora and victorias secret.
