turn around

Things have completely turned around for the better. Getting my transmission replaced will now be covered by my insurance. I have gotten a rental car to hold me over until then.  I am all moved into our new place, and completely out of our old house. I am getting a little more used to working two jobs. I've started hitting the gym again. Finances should start getting back into order slowly but surely. I still greatly miss my friends that have moved home post-graduation. But I've met knew people and I am enjoying their company.

Now I need to stop worrying a little less, get my schedule down, and start celebrating summer. Is it already mid june? I feel like its not. I've made a list of all these things I wanted to accomplish and I don't think I've completed one. I really want to go to the fair, even though its going to be crazy expensive. Its one of my favorite things about summer. I want to go on independence day but I can only imagine on crowded its going to be. But besides there are plenty of things to be marked off my list!

Friday Favorites: turquoise treasures

Okay, so maybe I lied. Maybe I won't go on a complete hiatus. I just cannot bring myself to completely ditch my blog. I'll just say that my updates wont be so consistent. Plus, my car will be back in action soon and I'll be on a more set schedule. I just guess this week was a little too much for me to handle with working both jobs, a physiology test, and then moving to our new condo. I can't its Friday!


At the moment I am currently in love with the color turquoise. Unfortunately, I think I own only one thing that is turquoise. I need to change that. I just love how stunning the color is and how it draws attention to it immediately. One small turquoise piece can have a dramatic effect. And yet it can look playful or sophisticated. It just adds that perfect touch. Here are some of my favorites turquoise items, they are all from lulus or urban outfitters.

Another hiatus

Hey friends! I was trying to avoid this but it looks like I'm going to have to take another hiatus. The truth is, I feel like my life is spiraling out of control (hence my dream about getting in a horrible car accident that killed me). The harder I work (now 2 jobs, and summer school) the more things to fall apart. Everytime I feel like things can't get any worse they do! And because things aren't working out then I don't think I'll be able to save up for my computer as I wished for. At least not as soon as I planned. I just have to much going on in my life (mainly financially) to focus on right now. I will be back, I just don't know when. Maybe next month, maybe the end of summer. We will have to see!

Summer is over!

Bye sweet summer, hello busy life! Here I go again. Getting a little overwhelmed as things pick up. Two jobs, school, and then moving. The nice thing is that I've already packed and taken 90% of my things to our new place. I just have little things along with my furniture. But the movers will take care of that on Sunday. And I'm starting two work both jobs. Starting today I won't have a day off until 20 days or so when I'm planning to go home. This upcoming week I have 23.5 hours at one job, 16 hours at the other, and 6 hours of class along with a test. But like I said I knew what I was getting myself into and it's only like this for the first half of summer. Hello new MacBook!

I promise to stop boring everyone with my busy life. Once the paychecks kick in I'll be able to spend a little money of adventures. Oh and you know what I found out? That I have a free pass to the The world famous SD Zoo! Heyy! I guess I'll be spending sometime there this summer :)
