Music Monday: Katy Perry
Happy Monday everyone! I'm actually happy its Monday because I know I am only a few days away from spring break. Can't for this week to zoom on by, which it should. Right now I am love with the song, E.T. by Katy Perry. I haven't always liked Katy Perry but I am really enjoying her music this year. And even though every artists writes music above love, I think its cool when an artist can make a song that is different. E.T. is one of those songs. I must admit, its pretty catchy.
Here are some things on my mind lately:
1. Spring Break/ Mexico (thats a given!)
2. Moving to LA (after going this weekend I feel like its the next step in my life)
3. Money and a job (Unfortunately, my interview did not go as planned)
4. Going out with friends on Thursday (Haven't been out in 3 weekends!)
Enjoy your Monday everyone!

music monday
I've been a fan on maroon 5 for years now, which says a lot since they are outside of my usual genre of music. But man can these boys make some good music, and Adam Levine has an amazing voice. Did I mention that he is easy on the eyes? I've seen them in concert once (2 years ago) and would love to see them in concert again someday. This video is for their song Never Gonna leave this bed. I love the song and the video concept is great. I want to know how they managed to stay serious with all the people gawking at them and snapping pictures. Madness! As soon I start working again I need to purchase their album along with Adele's 21 album.
Going to keep this entry short and sweet as I have to squeeze in quick nap and sleep before its back to the library for a 6 hour study session. Here some thoughts on my mind this Monday:
1. Been debating about possibly changing my career goals post-graduation. But I need to do some more research later this week. I'll write more about this once I find out more specific details.
2. Played around with super expensive microscopes in biochem lab today (one was $400,000 and the other was $500,00). Glad I was not accident prone today ;D
3. Forgot about this since its been a busy weekend.....but in two weeks from now I will be on a ship and close to Mexico
4. The time change has definitely thrown me off, but I'm reading for spring and sunshine :)

Music & March Goals
I love this song, it just makes me feel pumped. I'm definitely adding this to my workout play list. The video is a little too much for me to handle haha, but I think Rihanna looks effin' badass as usual. I seriously love everything about her! Apparently there is a version with Fergie and Alicia Keys on it too. Anyways check it out! Warning: This video can trigger seizures.
My weekend was great. It included a day of drinking with friends, and another day of work and homework. So I was able to have fun and still be productive. I did not workout which was so bad on my part. I have to do the mudrun in 20 days, and I am no where in shape. I basically need to be working out everyday up until the run. I got two weeks to make this happen. I know I can do it, I just wish it was easier to get back into shape.
Tomorrow starts a new month and I am always trying to live each and everyday (and month!) better than my last. I feel like you can always do things to improve yourself and make yourself happy. Here are my goals for March:
1. Do the SD Mudrun
2. Have a crazy time on the cruise and in Mexico
3. Volunteer at least 5x t
4. Shadow at least twice
5. Get a Job

music & weekend re-cap
I absolutely love the remix to this song. Adele has such an amazing voice and the beat just makes this song even better. I've been listening to it non-stop. Check out the original too, its just as lovely. I prefer the remix though because I like songs that have a cool beat.
The rest of my weekend ended up being just as lovely. Sunday I ended up sleeping in pretty late, I think I got close to 12 hours of sleep. Crazy, right? But it was so peaceful falling asleep to the rain. I ended up finally getting up, doing laundry, and went for a run. I only ran 2.5 miles total and that wasn't consecutive. I am going to be running everyday from now on so that by the beginning of march I am able to run 2 miles with not much of a problem. Can I just be in shape already? After the run I came home and ended up doing some toning exercises. Needless to say, I am feeling soooooo sore right now. It hurts so good! haha. The rest of my day was filled with yummy food, homework, and a trip to victorias secret. I'm proud to say thats the first time I've been to the mall in over a month. I didn't even buy anything, but I did try on an amazing bathing suit top that I hope to purchase next month.
Monday was a slightly stressful day. I woke up and went to school early to study for my biochem lab quiz. I then had class 12:00-5:00. I came home ate a little and went on do start my 3rd day of running. I did make it further than last time which is amazing. I am dying, my body is sore everywhere! Its so easy going to sleep now because by the end of the night I am physically exhausted. I ended the night with pasta and garlic bread and went to the library to start typing my lab report for biochem.
Today is going to be another day. I have class from 8:00am-12:15. Then I need to fit in grocery shopping, reading for class, running, volunteering, and then finishing this horrible lab report. Have a happy Tuesday!
