30 day hair challenge/documentary

I'm one of those girls who is never happy with their hair. I find mine hard to manage and I feel like I spend way too much time on money on it. My hair will grow but it won't grow fast enough so I feel like it always at an awkward length. Im just never happy with how it is.

I've been really unhappy with my hair lately and decided it was time for another change. So I decided to chop it and go for an a-line, as pictured above. Damaged hair gone and now its time to start a new. I'm hoping to grow my hair out longer and most importantly--healthier.

I have decided to do a 30 day hair documentary. I am planning on treating my hair better by not tying it up every day and staying away from my flat iron as much as possible. I also plan on taking fish oil and biotin daily to help my hair stay healthy. I hope to see a change in my hair after a month. If it helps then I will continue, if not I will try something else. I also plan on making updates and taking pictures daily so I can see if there is a difference after a month.

wishlist wednesday

Does anyone else feel like this week is flying by? I thought since I no longer have to go to my summer class, that things would slow down. But instead I've been keeping myself busy everyday. I love it. I've been working, spending time with friends, and just plain old taking care of business. I was actually looking over at my 43 things page and realized that there are a lot of things on there that I no longer wish to complete. Not because I'm lazy or given up hope. But I simply have had a change of heart and see myself completing other goals. I'll be brainstorming these next few days and re-doing my list to fit my life to where its at the the moment.

Lately I've been very particular about the type of items I want to purchase. I feel like there are some 'key pieces' that I am missing and that I need to add to my wardrobe.  I'm trying my best to add these pieces to my wardrobe over the next few weeks.

Lace shorts! I tried on a pair and they were too cute for words. I plan on purchasing a pair this weekend.

I am looking for my big girl purse. Something fun yet sophisticated. I feel like my old purses are worn out and kind of look like something a younger girl would carry around. I think its time for an upgrade.

My flats are seriously all beat up from wearing them to work. Once again I need a new sophisticated pair to wear out. I also just need to buy a designated pair of work shoes, ones that I wouldn't mind getting messed up and covered in paint.

I plan on spending the rest of my night will be spent running errands and getting myself together. Laundry, cleaning, dinner, etc. I'm also getting my hair cut tonight! I am excited but scared at the same time :)

it sucks to be you right now

Monday, Monday, Monday. I actually had the best Monday in forever. After a hectic day at work I met up with my friends for some shopping. Well I just browsed and helped them pick out clothes. I'm refraining from spending money until my next paycheck. We sat down and got lunch afterwards and we also looked at some places for them to live. When I returned home I was happy to find my security deposit from my old house in the mail. Thank god! Now I am able to catch up on bills and what not. I have a busy day tomorrow. Lots of phone calls to be made and things to buy. I plan on splurging just a little--I am in need of a pedicure.

Today I also started my second summer class. Its an online womens studies class which I think should be loads easier than animal physiology. Although its online, I really don't want to fall behind. So I'm going to try and stay on top of everything, starting by completing my first assignment tonight. Lets do this!

The rest of my night will be spent getting myself together. I honestly feel like my whole week will be dedicated to it. But its really nice and exciting. I need the me time. Time to clean this room, and get some laundry done :)

Second chances

Tumblr_lo2pbanadu1qc6xjbo1_500_large

I've always been a firm believer of giving people second chances. We are human and we all make mistakes. No one is perfect. Its all about learning from your mistakes and knowing not to make the same mistake again. I would like to believe that there are some actions that are un-forgiveable ( like cheating). But at the end of the day I don't like harboring  hate in my heart. I'd rather let things go. I was recently lied to and straight out ignored by a guy that I was really falling for. Instead of being a man, he lied to me, and flat out ignored me for a week. I never felt so hurt. It was as if I was worthless, because he didn't have enough respect to communicate with me and explain his emotions. I knew there was something going on with his ex-girlfriend. I just thought if he wanted to be with her all he had to do was tell me. That would be the right thing to do.

After a week of not talking he finally came around and apologized. He apologized for acting immature and stupid, knowing that I didn't deserve it. He apologized for taking out whatever drama with his ex out on me. He actually took the time out to explain himself and what exactly was going on. I accepted the apology, knowing that its really hard for a guy to come around and apologize and admit he was being stupid. Plus, he was finally doing the right thing. Taking control of the situation. He said he would still like to be friends and make it up to me. I said that was fine. I am forgiving but I am not forgetting. There is no way I could forget a situation like this. I don't think I've ever got so burned before.  But I do believe people deserve second chances.

Lets get this summer started

*whew* I am officially done with my animal physiology class. Even though I liked the class, the material, and the professor it was a TON of hardwork. On top of working two jobs and being stressed out with car issues, the class really got the best of me. I'm happy to say that I am all done, which means I will be having a lot more free time during the day. I feel like summer is really starting :)

Time to start marking more things off my summer list. I kind of feel like I need to re-do mine. Anyone, have any ideas?

Back in Action

I am back in action now that I have a new macbook on my hands. It was weird not having a computer for almost two months. I kind of just got used to it and used my iphone for e-mails and what not. But damn does it feel good to be back.

My life has been a whirlwind since I've been gone.  I mean really. Its been a lot of ups & downs with school, my future, financially, and romantically. I mean every time I tell myself things can't get any worse, somehow they do. I feel like like I'm digging a hole, and I'm using the biggest sturdiest shovel, yet I can't get to the bottom. I can't take a break to rest and I really haven't. Hopefully things start getting better this month.

1.  My biggest concern is school and figuring what I'm going to do post-graduation. I know I still have a year left, but if I am going to apply to programs I'm need to figure out what pre-reqs I still need to take or if I need to take a test. I really am feeling burned out from school and don't want to go on to more schooling. But I know thats the only way for me to make a decent living. I definitely DO NOT want to move back home after graduation. My mom is convinced that will be a good idea so I can think about what I want to do and work in the meantime to save up some money. But I don't even have a room at home, so I don't know how that will work.

2. I think July is going to be way better. I am already picking up extra hours at CC, and they want me to pick up more for the month of July. But I think that would be killer, I would burn out fast. I'd rather pick-up more hours at NCM which is my plan. That way I could still have some free time. I'm also going to be starting my online summer class which means I won't have classes that take up my day :) I'm also going to start babysitting for a cute little girl at the end of the month. More work yet more free time.

3. I don't understand men boys. I am against relationships & dating for a very long time.  Some of you girls are lucky to have great boys in your life that treat you well. I happen to have to deal with the others....I wish I could go into details but I don't think its a good idea. We will just say I'll be focusing on school and my friends for the next few years.

Happy 4th of July

turn around

Things have completely turned around for the better. Getting my transmission replaced will now be covered by my insurance. I have gotten a rental car to hold me over until then.  I am all moved into our new place, and completely out of our old house. I am getting a little more used to working two jobs. I've started hitting the gym again. Finances should start getting back into order slowly but surely. I still greatly miss my friends that have moved home post-graduation. But I've met knew people and I am enjoying their company.

Now I need to stop worrying a little less, get my schedule down, and start celebrating summer. Is it already mid june? I feel like its not. I've made a list of all these things I wanted to accomplish and I don't think I've completed one. I really want to go to the fair, even though its going to be crazy expensive. Its one of my favorite things about summer. I want to go on independence day but I can only imagine on crowded its going to be. But besides there are plenty of things to be marked off my list!
